The Farmers Market in Newbury Park is a year round certified open-air market and a must visit for the locals. To quote the website, “The FPMF is a new statewide initiative aimed at improving the health and well-being of local residents by supporting local farmers and businesses”.

With a wide selection of produce, artisan cheeses, and meats, you’re sure to find something suited to your taste buds. And the best part is you can actually talk to the farmers and shop owners face to face. It’s also the perfect place to pick up a gift for a loved one.

This popular location offers an assortment of fresh and local produce, pastries, and baked goods, and it’s open to the public every Sunday. In addition to fresh produce, the market offers a wide variety of crafts, gifts, and other specialty items, as well as a food court and free entertainment. The market is one of the few places where you can pick up locally-sourced, fresh fruits and vegetables without a trip to the supermarket.

The FM is operated in 49 states and the federal government funds 70 percent of the administrative costs. These coupons can be used at farmers markets and roadside stands that carry FM approved foods.
